You will primarily analyse and monitor the financial data of Supply chains and support the processes that evaluate potential financial risk before entering into contracts with suppliers.
This role will facilitate the flow of supply chain expenditure information for each Defence contract, between relevant internal stakeholders and financial management systems. A key output will be the production and ongoing management of analytical tools, materials and other artefacts that enable effective modelling, options analysis and decision making.
This role will support the Australian Industry Capability (AIC) function, through the consolidation and reconciliation of data, analysis and forecasting of trends and reporting on the implications of key decisions and activities as they relate to achieving AIC outcomes. The role is critical for monitoring compliance with ACE requirements among HDA’s supply chain and for ensuring HDA meets its contractual obligations with the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
The Financial Analyst will liaise routinely with other members of the Project Finance Team and the AIC Teams. The role will also be involved in direct interactions with the Defence customer, with HDA’s Australian and international supply chains and with other parts of the Hanwha Group (e.g. Hanwha Defense Corporation, Hanwha Systems).

Supplier Quality & Readiness Engineer
The Supplier Quality & Readiness role has the opportunity to work with local Australian suppliers to supply components, assemblies and sub-assemblies into our new Hanwha Armoured Centre of Excellence (H-ACE) facility in Avalon. The role will involve all aspects of Supplier Quality work and will engage cross functionally with internal stakeholders and will be involved in process mapping and procedure development.
This position is based in the Melbourne CBD office with the expectation to support any Quality issues at the facility in Avalon, Victoria.
Australian Industry Capability (AIC) Specialist
The Australian Industry Capability (AIC) Specialist is responsible for the planning, coordination and implementation of industrial initiatives and activities, consistent with Hanwha Defence Australia’s (HDA) Industrial Strategy and associated projects.
This includes preparing project materials and deliverables, liaising with current and proposed future suppliers to assist in project mobilisation and transfer of technology initiatives, and participating in meetings, workshops and other engagements with internal and external stakeholders.
A key outcome for this role will be the successful delivery of implementable AIC strategies and plans that meet the capability needs and priorities of both the customer and HDA. The role is expected to focus on the allocated project and will also provide support to other HDA programs, including implementation of supplier uplift and workforce development programs and representing HDA at industry-focused events and forums.
The role will engage routinely with HDA’s primary customer, the Australian Department of Defence, other parts of the Hanwha Group (e.g. Hanwha Aerospace, Hanwha Systems) and the holistic defence industry (e.g. small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs), other Primes, TAFEs and universities, industry associations), in Australia and overseas
Cybersecurity Analyst
The Cyber Security Analyst (CSA) is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of securing Hanwha Defense Australia’s information systems. Reporting to the ICT Security Manager, the role is tasked with providing technical expertise in all areas of information, network, system, and application security.
The role shall work closely with the Information Technology Operations team to ensure that systems and networks are always designed, developed, deployed, and managed with an emphasis on strong, effective security and risk management controls.
Provide specialist, technical and administrative support for the Hanwha Defence Australia’s Cyber Security functions, applying practical and procedural knowledge and understanding of Australian Government security standards including:
- Attorney General’s Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
- Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF).
- Australian Signal’s Directorate Information Security Manual (ISM).
The Cybersecurity Analyst shall enhance the HDA vulnerability management program, and manage the annual cybersecurity assessments, penetration tests, research, and reports on emerging threats, to help Hanwha Defence Australia take pre-emptive risk mitigation steps.
The Cybersecurity Analyst shall work within the incident and event management process with the incumbent Managed SOC service to proactively detect threats and mitigate attacks before they occur.
