Financial Analyst - Supply Chain


You will primarily analyse and monitor the financial data of Supply chains and support the processes that evaluate potential financial risk before entering into contracts with suppliers. 

This role will facilitate the flow of supply chain expenditure information for each Defence contract, between relevant internal stakeholders and financial management systems. A key output will be the production and ongoing management of analytical tools, materials and other artefacts that enable effective modelling, options analysis and decision making. 

This role will support the Australian Industry Capability (AIC) function, through the consolidation and reconciliation of data, analysis and forecasting of trends and reporting on the implications of key decisions and activities as they relate to achieving AIC outcomes. The role is critical for monitoring compliance with ACE requirements among HDA’s supply chain and for ensuring HDA meets its contractual obligations with the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

The Supply Chain Financial Analyst will liaise routinely with other members of the Project Finance Team and the AIC Teams. The role will also be involved in direct interactions with the Defence customer, with HDA’s Australian and international supply chains and with other parts of the Hanwha Group (e.g. Hanwha Defense Corporation, Hanwha Systems).


Government Relations Advisor

Business Development & Strategy

Reporting to the Director Business Development (BD) and working day-to-day with the BD Manager, you will support Hanwha Defence Australia’s (HDA) Government Relations development and execution of the business strategy.

 Your role is designed to shape the way the organisation engages with Government and key stakeholders within the defence industry environment. You will lead and execute strategy that supports the development and operation of projects across all HDA’s initiatives. You will also work intimately with media relations in pre-empting and managing communications and project stakeholder issues.

 Within an inclusive and collaborative team culture, you will be an adaptable individual who is able to work independently and thrive juggling priorities across multiple projects and developments. As a key member, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping government relations strategies and fostering productive engagement with key stakeholders to drive our organisational objectives forward.

 This position has a defence analyst background, potentially from within a Government Department, Agency or a relevant Think Tank. They have some experience in Australian Defence Industry and/or Foreign Policy and is able to quickly and accurately synthesis data and summarise salient points for high level decision makers.


Project Manager - ERP Implementation

A newly created position for a Project Manager – ERP Implementation has been developed, with a focus on completing the implementation of the current SAP Business One system in support of the commencement of production operations in Australia, followed by a transition to SAP S/4HANA within the subsequent 3 years.

We are ideally seeking a candidate with strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in SAP based ERP implementations & ongoing change management for the same, alongside broader experience in Information and Communications Technology project management and/or an equivalent combination of work experience/qualifications.


Security Advisor

This position requires an experienced defence security practitioner wanting to expand their career in Security or in the Defence Industry. This role would also be suited to a former Defence Security Officer, or government employee.

The Hanwha Armoured Centre of Excellence (H-ACE) Security Advisor position is responsible for the active implementation, ongoing management and reporting of all H-ACE security activities. The H-ACE Security Officer is expected to;

  • Supervise external security guards.
  • Assist the H-ACE Security Manager with the development and implementation of site security procedures, plans and site security set up.
  • Maintain site access passes and undertake compliance and security activities.
  • Actively assist in the management of security incidences and security risks on the site. 
  • Proactively assisting the H-ACE Security Manager in ensuring Hanwha’s ongoing compliance with the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP).


Technical Writing Specialist


The Technical Writing Specialist will be responsible for the planning, gathering, organising, and editing of technical data and information to create Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETPs) based on S1000D Issue 5. These IETPs are used by Hanwha customers in operations and training, and sustaining Hanwha provided hardware and software solutions.


Trade Compliance Inventory Officer

Supply Chain

The Trade Compliance Inventory Officer is responsible for managing and ensuring the effective receival, storage, and compliance for inventory associated with all projects within Hanwha Defence Australia. This includes managing export-controlled items including Government Furnished Material, information and data provided to Hanwha by the Commonwealth and/or external subcontractors.

This role will also require the management of (Communication Security) COMSEC items provided to Hanwha such as Cryptographic Controlled Items. This will involve implementing and maintaining COMSEC policies, procedures, and controls to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The Trade Compliance Inventory Officer will also be required to assist with the creation of a COMSEC account for Hanwha Defense Australia in preparation for utilising cryptographic equipment at various Hanwha Defense Australia locations, including the newly built H-ACE facility at Avalon.


Trade Compliance Officer

As the Trade Compliance Officer, you will proactively assist with global trade related tasks, and to work with policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant authorities and company policy. This includes assistance with all trade compliance issues arising related to significant Defence Projects and works at the prime-contractor levels alongside other program functional and workstream areas.

 This role contributes to overall business performance by assisting with import/export control (inc Permits, Licences), Global Trade transactions, Australian Defence Trade Control, U.S. International Traffic in Arms (ITAR), U.S. Export Administration Regulation (EAR) and any other relevant legislation.

We will also consider a recent university graduate, or someone towards the end of their degree with the capacity to take on full-time work, looking to kick-start their career in the Defence Industry. 

This role would also be suited to a former ADF member transitioning to a private sector career with an interest in a Trade Compliance career


C4I Integration Engineer Supervisor

The C4I Integration Engineer Supervisor leads the conduct of Electronic Architecture (EA) Systems Development, Integration, Verification, and Validation in the Hanwha Defence Australia (HDA) SIL and within prototype vehicles for specified project phases. The C4I Integration Engineer Supervisor provides support in C4I engineering, verification and validation expertise, support to practical integration aspects, and help ensure the technical integrity of the C4I system being delivered. This role will also support systems security engineering through the gathering of OQE (Objective Quality Evidence) to support verification and certification activities, including the development of verification plans, procedures and reports.


Contracts Officer

The Contracts Officer is responsible for supporting the Contracts Manager and Contracts and Commercial Manager in managing the contractual relationship between the Commonwealth and HDA.


Events, Marketing and Administration Assistant

Reporting to the Strategic Communications Manager, the Events, Marketing and Administration Assistant will support the BD team in developing and executing various marketing strategies and event management support to Hanwha Defence Australia.

This includes event and travel planning support to the team, post- and pre-event for conferences, trade shows and BD activities.

We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with executives and peers in the Communications team and across the wider business.

There may be some domestic travel associated with this role.

Field Service Representative - Electronics - Puckapunyal


As the Field Service Representative – Maintenance (FSR-M)  - Electronics you will provide repair and maintenance expertise to ensure the Commonwealth owned Mission Systems maintain a high vehicle availability for daily tasking by Army units. 

The work of the FSR-M may be conducted at the resident Army Unit, at relevant contractor external supplier locations or in the field (Army exercise or Operations).  The FSR-M may also provide on-the-job Training to Army Operator and Maintenance Personnel in the relevant units or locations. 

As an FSR-M you will be focused on electronic trades located near Puckapunyal

You will be required to travel locally, interstate and potentially overseas for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintainer training. Duties will also involve practical field work and absence from the home environment in all seasons during the conduct and delivery of maintenance and repairs to the client. 


ICT Systems Administrator
